Schooling days

It is wonderful to be able to say WELCOME BACK to schooling at Horseheath - and hopefully back to the normal we know! We have most certainly missed you!

So … booking slots of two hours are back! and the normal numbers are allowed on site (25 per 2 hour session) – however please do be aware of the current COVID guidelines at the time of your booking and remember to think of yourself and of others ….

The Cost is £25 per two hour session (there can be just 25 horses over the course at one time) Sessions times are 10.00am - 12.00, 12.00 – 2.00pm, 2.00pm – 4.00pm. If booking the last session you must be off the course no later than 4.15pm.

NB Post code of CB21 4QP takes you to the property opposite the entrance to the Racecourse which is on the right hand side of the by-pass if approaching from Linton and left hand side of the by-pass as you approach from Haverhill.

Valid Passport and Vaccination Record

You do still need to bring your passport to show your total vaccination records (12 month rule for boosters applies for Schooling) as we will be undertaking random inspections on both horses and passports. Regrettably if you come on site without your passport, or when checked, we discover that your passport is non-compliant you will not be able to ride the course and will be unable to issue a refund.

The minimum vaccination requirements are as follows:

  • a Primary Vaccination followed by a Secondary Vaccination given not less than 21 days and not more than 92 days after the Primary Vaccination.
  • if sufficient time has elapsed, a Booster Vaccination given not less than 150 days and not more than 215 days after the Secondary Vaccination, with further Booster Vaccinations given not more than 365 days apart.
  • the record of vaccination in the horse’s passport must be completed by a veterinary surgeon, dated, signed and stamped line by line.
